Sequoia Spelling Bee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well tonight was the First Annual Sequoia Spelling Bee. They had it broken don into 4th, 5th and 6th grade students. Bailey is in the 4th grade and was on the team. She spelled all her words right and then. Dundundundah!!!!!!!!!!! It was 3 kids left and she was one of them. One kid spelled hers wrong which gave her 3rd place. Then the battle began, One word after another and another and another, then finally a wrong word, from Armando, whew! Come'on Bailey! Then her word, "ILLEGAL", I.....L...E....a.....g......a...L, Man Wrong! Back to Armando, word, "Don't remember", Wrong! Bailey, your word is.....................ahhhhhhhhhhh, your word is, "Praise".................P...........R...........A...................I..........S........................E. You are correct......Yah!!!!!!!!! The kids were not aware but the 1st place winner received 150.00 cash.........So here she is with her giant check!!!!!!!!!!

Well I look at this picture and say, Well chicky you need to lose a few more pounds. Oh sorry my bad wrong story. I was so Thankful to God to see my son Dj graduate from 8th Grade. When he was in 3rd grade a teacher said he would never make it. He was SPECIAL! I told that woman that it was best that I leave her classroom before I reached over that table and smacked her one. We struggled to keep Dj going. He had lost all that fire for school because of one teacher. For the next couple of years the teachers and I worked diligently to make sure he did not fail. And anyone who knows me, knows that I will push until it hurts if I have to. I promised God when I left my husband that all the curses he spoke into our lives would not be true.

These are the teachers that made such a difference in his life in elememtary school. First Mrs Mackenzie, the Mr Roy and Mrs Haynes..........

So when Dj began to struggle, all that pain came back and I was determined to keep my promise to God. Now 5 years later, here he is, 3.0 student and starting freshman receiver for the Madison Warhawks. His self-esteem has grown and so has his HEAD. He is the life of the party and has a great love for life and all it has to offer. Congratulations Dj. We love you. Keanu next year I will write about you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can See!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well after a long awaited 2 weeks Adrenna finally got her new glasses. SHe had glasses before but the dog ate them. Really, the dog ate them. So here we are before:

And well, after. THe glasses are able to turn dark in the light. So they double as sunglasses. She is very happy to finally get them. Now that summer has started the glasses made it just in time for SUMMER READING!

Happy Father's Day!

I know it's late but I started this Saturday night and wanted just the right words. So here it is my finish. Most people who know me never think that William is my second marriage and I am his. God placed him in my life 10 years ago, well a little longer but married for 10. He has loved me and I have loved him. But most of all he has been a great dad. Even when things get hard he is there, and let me tell you we have seen hard. But somehow in God's divine planhere we are. I could not have prayed for a better father for my children from my first marriage. He plays with them and coaches. He is there, when his schedule permits, to see them get awards and there when they are sick. He loves them for who they are and never has once tried to hurt them. He has a heart of GOLD. The day he walked into my life I knew he was the one. I will honor and love him for the rest of our God given days together. William we love you. FYI he is gone out to sea for this great day!

Well summer has started and my house seems to be the place to be. Every weekend I seem to have the teenage crew over but for good cause they do go to church on Sunday morning with us. IVF Appt

I went today to see the Infertility Docs at NTC and things went well. I discussed the IVF procedure with the doctor. I have to have a Hysteroscopy. I usually have no problem with any procedure but just the thought of it just freaks me out. See Creepy huh?

I have to also get more blood drawn. During the blood cycle I have to take Clomid which is a HORMONE DRUG. They also gave me Prenatal Vitamins and Folate. These pills made me sick when I was pregnant so I wonder if I will be sick and I am not pregnant. I also have Ativan to take the day of the procedure and Doxycycline to take day before, day of and day after. Then Motrin for pain. Looks like alot of drugs to me. It will all be worth it in the end but man, this is alot of work. I Thank God for the 5 natural children I have. Because if I had an infertility issue I probably would never have had kids because my meds and procedures are a drop in the bucket compared to what normal infertile couples have to go through. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well after a severe breakage last year, we finally cut her hair to make it even. She had alot of straggly ends. My sisterinlaw forgot she had a camera in her purse and forgot to take the before picture.

A Long Week

Do some weeks seem longer than others? This week has seemed extremely long. I startes my week at eh hospital. Rod called me on Sunday night at 11pm telling me that S'te had been admitted for pre-term labor symptoms. I got up early and called my boss to let her know I would not be in and I got the kids off to school and off to Balboa I went. I parked outside on Park Blvd and walked. When I got there she looked plum tuckered out. So did lil' Brother Rod. Deacon Hayes came by and spent some time with her and Rod and I went to the galley to catch a bite. I enjoyed hanging with her. She dozed off every now and again. She needed the rest though. I did not make it to the hospital for Kiah's surgery though. Since Rod was home I went ahead and went to work. I called hime around noon and he said Mak was getting out of surgery and seemed to e doing ok. To read more about his surgery go to www.elmoresandiego.blogspot.com. I decided that since football was over I could finally put my house back together. So I amde the kids clear out there rooms and wash ALL OF THEIR CLOTHES WITH COMBINED EFFORT. We are in day 2 of clothes and almost done. I think everyhitng in their closet was dirty. Bailey got her hair cut and pressed yesterday. It looks really nice. She needed it. My sister inl aw did it late last night. We went to church this morning at The Rock. It was good. Then sadly enough Aisa left today. I had to make a choice between my dogs. Since she is my jumper and barker she had to go. My neighbos which I have talked about in previous posts are not very nice people and they are freaked everytime she jumps and now she barks to much apparently. To alleviate the issue I had to choose. She went to a nice family that has another dog and kids and a huge yard. I still have the problem of the fence aggression between King and the neighbors dog but I will be reinforcing our fence in the next couple of weeks so that it will not be an issue. Well thats all I have for today............... I will update on how my IVF appt goes this week and Adrenna's eyeglass adventure.

Flowers for me!!!!!!

Well, I wish I had a camera that would actually upload to my computer, which by the way is dead. I took the kids to the pool at the rec by our house last night for 1 hour which felt like alot longer but they had a blast. See I need a CAMERA! Then today William sent me flowers for Mother's Day. It made my day. Especially since i have no adult contact except at work and thats just work stuff, no relaxing or kicking back. S'te HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just trying to get through the day. Home is good but I feel just overwhelmed by kids stuff. End of the year stuff, pictures, yearbooks and high school orientation and football and cheer for the fall. Not that all that is bad don't get me wrong. But it all seems to come so fast. Even though that stuff doesn't start until July 24th, it still seems like its coming quickly. But I am ready for S'te to go to have the baby. I am waiting for the call. YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well thats all I got today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
